As educators, we recognize the impact that closing schools had on the children we serve. As we work to address the best path forward, we share your desire to get learners back into the classroom as soon and as safely as possible. Our ultimate goal is to have learners physically present in school. We know that learners benefit from and even flourish in every aspect of their lives – intellectually, emotionally, socially and physically – when attending school in a face-to-face setting.
Our goal is to continue to keep you informed about the coronavirus and the steps you can take to stay healthy. PCSD 25 works in partnership with the Southeast Idaho Public Health Department, as well as the State Department of Education to closely monitor any situation that deals with public health that may impact our local schools.
We are continuing to pay very close attention to the latest news regarding the Coronavirus and any information being circulated by various entities, including the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare and the Idaho State Department of Education. Although the severity of the coronavirus outbreak is difficult to predict, we’re keeping in close contact with healthcare providers, state coronavirus response teams, and health agencies in the event that any cases are reported in our community.
