  • NEWSELA:  This is a site for teachers to use to prepare online resources.  They are offering their entire suite of lessons for free at this time.

  • Reading Rockets: Reading Rockets is a national public media literacy initiative offering information and resources on how young kids learn to read, why so many struggle, and how caring adults can help.

 

Stay Active

  • GoNoodle: Good Energy at Home is a free online resource for parents, caregivers, teachers, and kids. It offers free movement, yoga, and mindfulness videos, downloadable curricular activities, and off-screen home activities.

 

Math Resources

  • Youcubed https://www.youcubed.org/  Great math tasks and growth mindset videos for K-12.
  • NRich maths  https://nrich.maths.org/  Fun, engaging math tasks for K-12. Parents may want to look at teacher resources; they contain curriculum maps that may help them identify which tasks are appropriate for different ages.
  • K-5 math teaching resources https://www.k-5mathteachingresources.com/  Math games and word problems for Kindergarten through 5th grade learners. Parents can select grade level appropriate activities. 
  • Illustrative mathematics  https://tasks.illustrativemathematics.org/content-standards  Challenging and engaging real world tasks for K-12 learners. Provides clear directions and solutions for all tasks.
  • thinkcentral.com - Access to HMH online resources for math and ELA.  Many students are already familiar with navigation and resources available on this site.

  • NSTA: The National Science Teaching Association is offering a free 30-day membership to teachers.  This will open access to a huge array of digital lessons and resources.
  • NatureWorks Everywhere: A site hosted by The Nature Conservancy to help students learn the science behind how nature works.  Hosts virtual field trips and digital lessons.
