May 2025 P.I.E.S. Award Recipient

P.I.E.S. Awards May 2025 Kim Crowder and Janelle Harris

The Pocatello/Chubbuck School District 25’s Employee-of-the-Month P.I.E.S. award recognizes employees who Positively Influence Educational Success. The award is for employees who go above and beyond in that effort.

Kimberlie Crowder, who manages Special Education Medicaid Billing for the PCSD 25, is the May recipient of the PIES Award. Nominated by Janelle Harris, Director of Special Services, Kim is recognized for her exceptional dedication, technical skill, and commitment to supporting educational success through her work.

Ms. Harris noted that Kim has taken on the complex task of Medicaid billing with professionalism and precision. Her work ensures that the district remains in compliance while also maximizing available funding—resources that directly support learners with disabilities and diverse learning needs. Kim’s understanding of the connection between accurate billing and increased revenue plays a key role in expanding services and supports across the district.

Beyond her assigned duties, Kim routinely goes above and beyond expectations. She spends countless hours outside of the workday conducting audits and finalizing detailed work to ensure every aspect is accurate and compliant. Her commitment is not only evident in her work ethic but also in her motivation—she consistently prioritizes the needs of learners and the programs that serve them.

Thanks to Kim’s efforts, the district is able to provide access to specialized instruction, adaptive technology, and individualized support systems that help learners with disabilities succeed. Her contributions have a lasting impact on both the operational effectiveness of the district and the academic and personal outcomes of the learners it serves.

Kimberlie Crowder exemplifies the qualities of Positively Influencing Education Success. Her attention to detail, sense of responsibility, and deep commitment to equity make her an invaluable part of the team and a deserving recipient of this recognition.

Kimberlie was recognized at the Board of Trustees meeting on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 and received a $50 gift card from the educational partner for this award, Lookout Credit Union.
