Paul Myler, 2025 Idaho Department of Education School Bus Driver of the Year

Paul Myler IDE School Bus Driver of the Year 2025

It is my privilege to recognize Mr. Paul Myler, who has been honored by the Idaho Department of Education as the Idaho School Bus Driver of the Year. Paul was nominated for the award by Jeff Corrington and Samantha Steed, Transportation Supervisors, and Kelly Dial, Transportation Coordinator.
Paul has served the Pocatello/Chubbuck School District faithfully for 22 years, following a long career as a professional truck driver where he logged millions of safe miles. In his time with our district, he has continued that legacy of excellence, driving thousands of safe miles, remaining accident-free, and ensuring that our learners arrive at school safely each day.
What sets Paul apart is not only his skill behind the wheel, but his remarkable dedication and character. Paul is both a mentor and a role model within our transportation department. His colleagues describe him as the department’s “grandfather figure”—someone who embodies commitment, hard work, and kindness.
He is quick-witted, encouraging, and always ready with a smile or a positive word. When he lost his wife Audrey, to whom he was married for 64 years, he continued to show up for our learners with resilience and determination. His unwavering dedication reflects his love for his role and the purpose he finds in serving others.
Paul is deeply respected by his co-workers, cherished by his passengers, and admired by all who know him. He is a shining example of professionalism, humility, and heart.
On behalf of the Pocatello/Chubbuck School District, we congratulate Mr. Paul Myler on this well-deserved honor and thank him for his extraordinary service to our district and to the learners of Idaho.
Please join me in celebrating Idaho School Bus Driver of the Year, Mr. Paul Myler.
