Technology Application Specialist named as District 25’s Employee-of-the-Month
The Pocatello/Chubbuck School District 25’s Employee-of-the-Month P.I.E.S. award recognizes employees who Positively Influence Educational Success. The award is for employees who go above and beyond in that effort.
This month we recognized Mr. Pat Shaw as December’s PIES Award recipient. Pat was nominated for this award by Janelle Arvas.
In her nomination, Ms. Arvas wrote, “Pat has a really difficult job. It can be tough being only one of two people answering calls and assisting teachers with technology issues. No matter what, Pat goes above and beyond to figure out problems and does what he can to troubleshoot. Not only does he help figure out the problems, but he does so with the kindest tone and is always upbeat and positive. Not only does Pat help teachers, but he has assisted both my coworker and myself with technology issues we deal with. We both know that we can always count on Pat to help when in need. I know that many are appreciative of his hard work and dedication to helping the teachers and staff in our district. We are lucky to have him!”
Courtney Fisher, Director of Communications, presented the award and added, “I can also personally attest to Pat’s outstanding contributions to PCSD 25. Whether he is engineering our podcast recordings, livestreaming board meetings, or managing audio for offsite presentations and community meetings, including our kick-off to the school year events, Pat lends an expertise and calm demeanor critical to support these efforts with professionalism and grace. He is always willing to pitch in at a moment’s notice with solutions and a smile.”
Mr. Shaw was recognized at the Board of Trustees meeting on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 and received a $50 gift card from the educational partner for this award, Lookout Credit Union.
