Pocatello/Chubbuck School District 25 continues to earn placement as top academic performers for large school districts in Idaho
The 2024 ISAT results place the Pocatello/Chubbuck School District 25 (PCSD 25) among the top academic performers for large school districts in Idaho.
Districtwide Success:
- PCSD 25 ranks among the top five large school districts for Math ISAT with 45.3% of students scoring proficient or higher, above the state average (42.2%) and state goal (41.6%).
- The district also ranks among the top three large districts for ELA ISAT performance, with 57.3% of students scoring proficient or higher, surpassing both the state average (53.3%) and state goal (52.6%).
- In Science, PCSD 25 is one of only three large districts to exceed the state average, with 44.9% of students scoring proficient or higher, compared to the state average of 41.2%.
Edahow Elementary Shines:
- 82.9% of learners at Edahow Elementary School scored proficient or higher on the ELA ISAT, significantly above the state average (53.3%) and state goal (52.6%).
- 78.3% of learners at Edahow Elementary scored proficient or higher on the Math ISAT, placing the school among the top performers in the state.
- 76.3% of Edahow learners scored proficient or higher on the Science ISAT, placing the school among the top performers in the state.

PCSD 25 and its schools utilize ISAT and other state assessment data to guide school improvement efforts, identify professional development opportunities, and make informed curriculum and instructional decisions.
About ISAT: The ISAT is administered each spring to Idaho students in grades 3-8 and 11 for Math and ELA, as well as grades 5, 8, and 11 for Science. More than 160,000 students participated in the 2024 ISAT assessments, which are a key measure of statewide academic achievement.
