Pocatello/Chubbuck School District 25 Supplemental Levy Renewed with Strong Community Support
On November 5, 2024, local voters approved the renewal of the Pocatello/Chubbuck School District 25 supplemental levy in a historic vote, marking the first time this renewal has been placed on the general election ballot. Voters approved the measure with 63.19 percent support.
The supplemental levy will provide $8.25 million in funding per year for two years. Funds are utilized to deliver high quality educational and support services to the nearly 12,000 learners who live within the boundaries of the Pocatello/Chubbuck School District 25. The levy amount requested by PCSD 25 remains unchanged from the last renewal, maintaining the current level of funding for educational services.
“The success of this supplemental levy renewal reflects our community's steadfast commitment to education,” said Superintendent Dr. Douglas Howell. “Having this measure approved by such a high percentage during a general election underscores the value our voters place on local education. We are deeply grateful for this historic show of support, which strengthens our mission to deliver high-quality learning experiences to the learners of Pocatello and Chubbuck. On behalf of the Board, district staff, and learners and their families, we extend our heartfelt thanks to our community for its trust and investment in our schools.”
