Pocatello/Chubbuck School District Announces Selection of Assistant Principal Alameda Middle School
Please join us in congratulating Molly Johnson, who was selected as the Assistant Principal of Alameda Middle School. Johnson is replacing Krystel Lockyer who was selected as the new principal of Tendoy Elementary School upon the retirement of current principal, Janice Nelson on June 30.
Molly Johnson moved to Pocatello in 2015 and shortly thereafter began working for PCSD 25. She earned an undergraduate degree in special education and a Master of Educational Administration at Idaho State University. Throughout her time in Pocatello, she has taught at Washington Elementary School and Pocatello High School as a special educator and department chair.
Within the district, Molly has demonstrated her commitment to excellence through various leadership roles, including new teacher mentor, department chair, member of the Building Leadership Team (BLT), and active participation in the district's special education committee.
Molly is excited for the opportunity to serve the Alameda Middle School community as an assistant principal.
“Molly’s exemplary leadership, most notably as the school’s department chair of special education, has been instrumental in fostering a culture of inclusivity and positivity at Pocatello High School,” said PCSD 25 Superintendent, Dr. Douglas Howell. “We envision exciting opportunities for growth and innovation under her guidance to Think More, Learn More, and Be MORE Together at Alameda.”
The administrative change will go into effect on July 1, 2024.
