Wellness Quest Spotlight: Heidi Wood, Counselor at Greenacres Elementary

Heidi Wood brought the spirit of wellness to life this month — both inside and outside the classroom. 💚

“I really emphasized wellness and healthy choices with our students during October. We discussed kindness and healthy choices in classroom lessons all month. There were posters, door decorations, and a week of Red Ribbon themes as we teamed up as an entire school to make healthy and kind choices. Student council capped it all off with a darling skit about healthy, kind, and smart choices.”

Beyond leading by example at school, Heidi also made time to focus on her own wellness — joining a pickleball league (where she made new friends and took the gold! 🥇) and preparing a beautiful, healthy meal made with produce from her garden — a colorful lentil and barley soup. 🍁🥣

Heidi’s story shows what it means to live out wellness in every way — connecting, leading, and inspiring others through both action and heart.
