School Board of Trustees Elections
2025 TRUSTEE ELECTION INFORMATION
The Pocatello/Chubbuck School District Board of Trustees consists of five members, each from a unique Zone in the district. Trustee Elections are held every two years, and Trustees serve for a term of (4) years. The next Election is scheduled for Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Candidates must live in the Zone they are running in. Look up your zone using the Trustee Zone Map.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years of age, a resident and registered voter in the Pocatello/Chubbuck School District, and have no pecuniary interest, either directly or indirectly, in any contract with the District.
- Candidates cannot be employed, or have a spouse who is employed by the School District.
- The Declaration of Candidacy form is available on the Bannock County Elections website. Completed Declaration of Candidacy forms must be submitted no earlier than 8:00 a.m. on Monday, August 18, 2025 and no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 29, 2025 to the Bannock County Elections Office, or to Renae Johnson, the Board Clerk at the Pocatello/Chubbuck School District Offices.
- Write-In Candidate forms are due no later than Friday, September 5, 2025.
- Candidate names, occupations and any other pertinent information provided is a public record and will be made available on the district’s website, or provided to the media upon request.
- Patrons may vote at their regular precinct on Election Day, or may vote early at the Bannock County Elections Office starting on Monday, October 20 – Friday, October 31, 2025.
- Individuals who are elected will be sworn into office at the January 13, 2026 Board Work Session.

TRUSTEE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Trustees are expected to attend all Board Meetings and participate in all Board business. The Board holds monthly Work Sessions and Regular Board Meetings and participates in Special Meetings and Executive Sessions as necessary. Further, Board members participate on various district Committees, and in Idaho School Boards Association training. A full list of responsibilities can be found in Idaho Code. Trustees are expected to review and agree to the Board’s Operating Principles, and Code of Ethics annually.

Polls open from 8:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.
Voters must vote at their residential precinct location.
Early Voting
Walk-in early voting begins Monday, October 20 and ends
Friday, October 31.
The Elections Office is adjacent to the Bannock County Courthouse,
141 N 6th Avenue.
