Terry Perkins Educational Scholarship

In 2018, the School District 25 Education Foundation received a nearly $1.5 million gift from the Glenn Perkins Family Living Trust, establishing an endowment that continues to create lasting opportunities for learners across Pocatello/Chubbuck School District 25. Investment earnings support debate and music programs at Century, Highland, and Pocatello high schools, while additional annual earnings sustain the Terry Perkins Educational Scholarship. Each year, the Terry Perkins Educational Scholarship funds two renewable $3,000 scholarships for eligible learners attending Century, Highland, and Pocatello high schools and one renewable $3,000 scholarship for an eligible learner attending New Horizon High School, with scholarship checks issued in August 2026.
Since its inception, the scholarship has awarded 46 scholarships, helping learners reduce financial barriers and focus on their education. Past recipients credit the scholarship with allowing them to work fewer hours, stay engaged on campus, prioritize their health and well-being, and pursue ambitious academic and career goals with confidence.
