30501 Business Computer Applications I - 1 Trimester – CHS/HHS/NHHS/PHS 9 10 11 12
Prerequisite: Keyboarding I (Middle School) or Keyboarding Applications
Students are introduced to the use of industry standard computer applications used for solving business problems. Microsoft Office Suite is used to format and produce documents. The use of graphics, spreadsheets, desktop publishing, presentation applications and the ethical use of the internet are covered in this course. Prerequisite: Business Computer Applications I
Co-requisite: Personal Business Finance Economics
This is a great elective course for students interested in any area of business or seeking a career in law. Students will be using computers to research laws, court cases, and to complete legal briefs. Curriculum includes civil and criminal law, the US court system, contract law, property law, marriage, divorce, and estate law. The class will offer opportunities to visit the Bannock County Courthouse to observe court proceedings and to learn about careers in law. Students will be introduced to basic Accounting terminology and principles. Students will learn to analyze business transactions and prepare financial reports.
