Summer School

Summer school is online utilizing Apex with teacher support. Targeted in-person instruction and the summer school office are located at the New Horizon Center at 955 W Alameda. If you have questions about getting your learner registered for summer school please contact their school counselor. Please contact Amy Prescott, the summer school administrator at 208-237-2233 if you have questions after your learner is registered.

Learners need to meet the following requirements to be enrolled in SD25 summer school

Eligible high school learners:
  • Currently enrolled in SD25
  • 13 or fewer credits at the end of their freshman year
  • 26 or fewer credits at the end of their sophomore year
  • Less than 37 credits at the end of their junior year
  • Did not graduate at the end of their senior year
  • Previously failed core classes ONLY (learner cannot take classes that they haven’t previously taken and failed this is a CHANGE from the last couple summers)

High School Math reminder: Learners are not eligible for Integrated Math I until they have failed it twice (or until they are a junior). Learners are not eligible for Integrated Math II until they are seniors.

Eligible middle school learners:
  • Currently enrolled in SD25
  • Failed core classes for the current academic year

NEW - Parent/Guardian Verification

The parent/guardian (or adult student) is required to complete a verification for their child's summer school enrollment.  Parents/guardians can get the verification link from the child's counselor. As soon as we have received both the Registration & Grant Form and the Parent/Guardian Verification we will create an enrollment in Infinite Campus.

Registration

You can pay online via Venmo @nhcsd25 (Please reference your learners name with your payment.) We do not accept checks or debit/credit cards.

Chromebooks

All summer school learners will keep their chromebooks at the end of the regular school year. Summer school will not have chromebooks available for checkout. Summer school students will keep their chromebooks at the end of summer school and take them back to their schools in the fall.

Teachers

Summer school teachers will be available to provide online and targeted in-person instruction, answer content questions and unlock quizzes/tests from 8:00am-3:30pm on school days (Monday - Friday). Summer school teachers will begin contacting families the week of June 8, 2026. 

Attendance

Students are required to login and make adequate progress from home for a minimum of three (3) hours on school days or they will be marked absent. Student’s that have more than two absences can be unenrolled from summer school. Both, daily online attendance and daily adequate progress are critical to your student’s success in summer school.

Important attendance reminder:

Three (3) hours is the minimum time required each day. Apex is open 24/7 and you are welcome to work ahead and finish summer school early! As soon as you are finished with your classes you can begin enjoying your summer vacation!
